Shawn Edgar

I became a REALTOR in 2004, after realizing that my talents for helping people could improve their experiences in buying, selling or investing in real estate. My college education in Public Relations/ Journalism and Social Sciences put me in good stead in a career involving people making emotional choices.
Education has always been one of my priorities both in learning and teaching. I hold the CRS, ABR, GRI, SRS, SRES, DREC and MRP designations. I’m a trained Mentor Facilitator for Buffini and Company and taught many of the Ignite classes while I was with a former Brokerage.
I have always been active in the communities I have been a part of, and taking a lead in community events and committee work helps me stay current with local and national policies that affect our industry, our community and my clients.
During my years in Tucson, I have served:
•On the Board of Directors for Tucson Country Day School (2006 – 2011)
•On the Leadership Council for Keller Williams Real Estate (8 of 11 years with the brokerage 2010 – 2021)
•On the Board of Directors for the Hearth Foundation (2008 – 2013 and again 2018 – 2023)
•On the Home and Property Advocates Committee at TAR (2022- current)
•On the Candidates and Ballots Measures Task Force (2023 – 2024)
•On the Board of Directors TAR as a Director (2024)
I currently serve at TAR in the capacity of:
•Vice President of the Board of Directors (current 2025-26)
•Bylaws Task Force (2023 – current)
•Home and Property Advocates Committee (2022 – current)
•Nominating Credentials and Recognition Task Force (current)
I am an active member of Women’s council of REALTORS, a major investor with RAPAC and an active member of the charitable foundation 100+ Women Who Care.
I also hold a Manufacturing Jewelers degree, a Diamond Certificate, and a Pearl Certificate from the Gemological Institute of America, where I used my leadership and care of people skills teaching for over two years. Before switching careers, I ran my jewelry manufacturing and design business for 20 years, and I taught jewelry-making through Tucson Parks and Rec for 4 years.
