About Shawna

Wildlife biology major turned real estate broker — not the obvious path, but it makes perfect sense if you know me. Both careers are about reading the land, understanding what's really happening beneath the surface, and showing up fully for what's in your care.
I grew up farming in the San Luis Valley, where your word is your reputation and hard work isn't optional. I got my license in 2000 after deciding that government work and fluorescent lighting had nothing on wide open spaces and work that actually varies day to day. Twenty-five years later I still love it.
I work across all six SLV counties and specialize in the rural, agricultural, and mountain properties that make this valley unlike anywhere else in Colorado. Water rights, acreage, ranches, mountain retreats — this is my world both professionally and personally. On any given weekend you'll find me and my husband on a snowmobile, in a side-by-side somewhere up a mountain trail, casting a fly rod on a stream, or ice fishing a high alpine lake. I finally got married at 55 — turns out patience pays off — and I inherited his kids and grandkids in the deal. All the joy, none of the 3am feedings.
I am a part owner of Caldera Creek Staging, I'm an FAA-licensed drone pilot, and a proud member of Creede Elks Lodge #506. I bring genuine local knowledge to every transaction. My goal is always the same: a deal where both sides feel like they got the better end. Twenty-five years in and that still never gets old.
