Shelby Nelson

Shelby Nelson was born and raised in Garland, Texas and attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice. After college, Shelby made the decision that she loved working with people more than she loved criminology, so she decided to try out a position as a customer service specialist/marketing consultant… and fell in love with it. After marrying her best friend, Garrett, the two decided to move to the Metroplex, but after a few years of big city life, Shelby, Garrett, and their fur-baby Jake, decided to move back to Garrett’s home-town of Hughes Springs, TX. It wasn’t long before Shelby fell in love with Hughes Springs, where Garrett’s parents, Greg and Michele Nelson, and grandparents, Glenn and Patsy Nelson owned and operated Nelson’s Hardware store for over 50 years. After exploring all the surrounding towns, Shelby decided she wanted to put her optimism and upbeat personality to work for the betterment of where she intends to put down roots … so she registered for Real Estate classes.
