Sherry Dominick combines the skills she acquired in her successful legal career with her knowledge of Longboat Key and the Sarasota area to provide unparalleled service to her real estate customers. Having grown up in Boise, Idaho, she moved east at the age of seventeen to earn her B.A., summa cum laude from Yale University, and her law degree from New York University. Prior to moving permanently to Longboat Key, she practiced law in Connecticut, where she specialized in employee benefits and executive compensation law. Her legal work required extensive knowledge of tax and other complex laws, analytical expertise, integrity, and the ability to listen to, and accomplish her clients’ objectives while simplifying the legal process for them.
Sherry applies these same skills with energy and integrity to locate the ideal properties for buyers and to effectively stage, market, and sell properties on Longboat Key and in the Sarasota vicinity. With her keen eye for design and multiple residential renovations to her credit, she can help customers see the potential in older properties or connect buyers with contemporary homes and new construction. With her knowledge of the market and the features of each community, she can match properties to buyers; her years of experience as an attorney and seasoned negotiator ensure that the transaction will be handled efficiently and smoothly.
Sherry is passionate about Sarasota and her barrier islands. She and her husband first came to the area in 1981, drawn to its stunning natural beauty and sophisticated cultural scene, acquiring their first residence in 2002. As a Longboat Key resident, one of its Town Commissioners, and a member of the Sarasota County Tourist Development Council, Sherry is giving back to the community she loves. She is also a member of the Longboat Key Club, the Yale Club Suncoast, and is a volunteer in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab of Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
When not engaged with real estate or town government, Sherry can be found enjoying Sarasota’s music and fine arts, the area beaches, and the opportunities for golf and gardening with her family and friends.
