In addition to serving clients throughout Central Iowa, Shonna also mentors and coaches real estate professionals across the country as a National Real Estate Coach and Speaker. Real estate and construction have always been part of Shonna’s life. She remodeled her first home years ago and continued renovating homes throughout the years before eventually designing and building her family’s dream home from the ground up. Working closely with contractors and navigating the building process firsthand gave her valuable insight that now helps clients confidently buy, build, renovate, and sell homes.

For buyers, Shonna has a unique ability to help clients see the potential in a home—whether through simple design changes, sweat equity opportunities, remodeling possibilities, or staging ideas. She especially enjoys helping first-time home buyers navigate the process with confidence while making smart financial decisions for their future.

Relocating to Central Iowa? Shonna has lived that experience herself. After researching communities across the Des Moines Metro, her family chose Ankeny as the place to call home. Today, she helps relocation buyers learn the differences between Ankeny, Waukee, Johnston, West Des Moines, Polk City, Altoona, and other surrounding communities to find the right fit for their lifestyle, commute, schools, and goals.

Shonna is also passionate about new construction and helping buyers navigate the home building process. With so many builders, neighborhoods, floor plans, and upgrade options available, she helps clients compare builders, understand contracts, avoid costly mistakes, and create a smooth building experience from start to finish.

For sellers, Shonna focuses on strategic pricing, professional marketing, strong negotiation skills, and maximizing exposure to help homes sell quickly and for top dollar. Her background in staging and design helps sellers showcase their homes in a way that stands out in today’s competitive market.

Outside of real estate, the most important part of Shonna’s life is her family. She and her husband Jeff have been married since 2000 and have two daughters. Their family also includes a very spoiled and wildly entertaining Boxer, Bentlee, who pretty much runs the household. When she’s not helping clients buy or sell homes, coaching agents, or speaking at industry events, you’ll usually find Shonna enjoying lake life, side-by-side rides, cheering on college football, or rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes with her family.
