Born in Sagua la Grande, Cuba, she moved to Miami in 1967. She obtain her AA degree from Miami Dade College and went on to work for Eastern Airlines where she received the Spirit of Excellence award for customer service and sales. She worked as a reservations agent where she stayed for 15 years until the airline closed down. Her subsequent years at the University of Miami in the medical field taught her inspiration and care towards her clients. Her best advertising has always come from referrals from previous clients. Sofia's greatest satisfaction comes from the smile she sees on her client's face when she closes a deal.
