Sonia Byrnes offers vast real estate experience with a strong sales record in both Fairfield County and New York City. Sonia joined the Darien Board of Realtors in 2013 after moving to Darien from Manhattan in 2012. A former agent at The Corcoran Group in New York City, she entered the Connecticut real estate market with 7 years of prior experience. She spent two years as an agent in Darien and quickly built a thriving business by becoming highly knowledgeable of the marketplace as well as the nuts and bolts of a purchase and sale transaction. To expand her business outside of Darien, she joined a team at the Higgins Group in Fairfield. She spent four years building a solid business in Fairfield, Westport, and Norwalk before deciding to partner with Julie Bauer and Anika Charron at Sotheby in Darien.

Sonia is a dedicated, detail-oriented professional who works hard to fulfill her clients' needs. She is both highly adaptable and extremely accessible, which are vital assets in working with any agent to ensure the finest service. Originally from just outside of Philadelphia, Sonia earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Art History from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Sonia worked in marketing in the fashion industry for both Macy's and Perry Ellis for several years before discovering the tremendous appeal of real estate.
