Stephen moved to the Carson City area from the Pacific Northwest in 1977 and worked in the Food and Beverage industry in various capacities. Some of his clients remember him from his days as a gourmet table side waiter preparing their flaming desserts, and others from when he was a food and Beverage Director at a local hotel/casino. Stephen left the area for a short period of time and was a Beverage Manager at the LAX Hilton, but returned again to this beautiful area in 1988.
After returning that same year, he studied to obtain his real estate license. After completing the required and elective courses, he was awarded the Graduate, REALTORS Institute professional designation. In 1989 he had acquired his brokers license and another professional designation, Accredited Buyers Representative. The knowledge he gained from that inspired him to create his “Buyers Resource Guide” which is provided to his buyer broker clients. Stephen averages 45 transactions per year and over $7,000,000 in sales. He has been a listing agent and buyers agent on a variety of properties: Victorian bed and breakfasts, mini-ranches, airpark homes, businesses, commercial land, and of course residential properties. In 2001, on the 50th Anniversary of the Nevada Association of REALTORS, Stephen was recognized as one of “50 Golden REALTORS” from the more than 18,000 REALTORS in the state.
Throughout the years, he has been involved in many activities, not only as a REALTOR, but as a member of various city organizations. He is a board member for the Chamber of Commerce and the Patty Sheehan Golf Classic to benefit Boys and Girls Clubs of Nevada, the Vice President of the Northern Nevada Railway Foundation, and the President of Hoshi Terrace Homeowners Association, and the Chairman of the Board for the Sierra Nevada Association of REALTORS.
He enjoys traveling, fine food and wine, scuba diving, and golf.
