About Stephen

With over 40 years of experience in the real estate industry, Steve Ussery puts his expansive knowledge to work for homebuyers and homeowners. Steve initially worked at title companies, and he ultimately built a successful practice as an escrow officer. He became a Realtor® to have a more flexible schedule that would allow him to give back to the community.

Steve was recently awarded for the highest number of transactions closed for an individual agent in Marin County. As a third-generation Realtor®, Steve has benefited from living in Corte Madera, Larkspur, and Marinwood. His deep knowledge of this multifaceted industry allows him to develop creative solutions to various situations.

Steve currently resides in Novato with his wife, Betsy, a recently retired systems analyst at the Novato Unified School District. Their daughter, Caitlyn, received her degree in business at Chapman University. Caitlyn is now the fourth generation of the Ussery family in the real estate business. Today, she works as a senior escrow officer assistant in Greenbrae.

Steve sells the “Golden side of the Golden Gate”: Sausalito through Wine Country. He’s known for staying levelheaded, even during the most difficult negotiations. Given his unique collection of skills, Steve’s receives many referrals because he stays focused on his clients’ goals.

Outside of his professional work, Steve believes in the value of volunteering. He served as a director on the Marin County Board of Realtors®, as a co-chair for the Novato Unified School District Parcel Tax Oversight Committee, and on the NHS Sports Boosters board. In addition to these positions, he was named Positive Coach of the Year twice in the Novato Girls Softball League. He has also coordinated donation deliveries for Respecting Our Elders.

Steve loves history and is a docent at the Novato History Museum. He’s also a member of the local, state, and national associations of Realtors®. Finally, Steve’s an avid music fan who collects and sells records and rock and roll memorabilia.
