Steve spent the first twenty-five years of his professional career listening to consumers and mastering the art of selling in the advertising and marketing world—a skill that blends very well with the world of real estate. He attended Montclair State University where he majored in Broadcasting and Journalism. This led him to the world of advertising, where his innate talent and understanding of “what makes people tick” helped him quickly move up the ladder. His last corporate advertising job was Global Creative Director for Jim Beam brands. And along the way, he’s also helped develop a handful of iconic Texas liquor brands including Cinco Vodka and Republic Tequila.
Steve’s approach to his life and career can be summed up in the words of the great Maya Angelou: “At the end of the day, people won’t remember what you said or did, but they will remember how you made them feel.”
Working with Steve is easy - he strongly believes in the power of personal connection and will first and foremost make his clients feel right at home. He listens, pays attention, and gets to know what clients need, want and prefer (and sometimes even more importantly, what they don’t like). He also makes it a point to anticipate his clients’ needs along the way, and never fails to splash in a dash of humor to shake things up.
Those who know Steve would likely describe him as an extrovert and a natural “connector.” Whether he’s prepping a home for sale or helping clients find the home of their dreams, Steve does so with intuition, passion, and a healthy dose of authenticity. He has set the bar very high and aims to become known as the most responsive realtor in Austin, vowing to work with his clients at any time of day or night. When it comes to the search for a new home, Steve truly does whatever it takes to ensure the happiness of his clients, whether that means showing them two houses or 200, he’ll just keep searching for the perfect match until they’ve “found their happy place.”
Steve has an undeniable passion for Austin and its diverse range of offerings. From food to music to culture, Steve believes Austin is a city that truly does have it all. He enjoys giving back whenever possible and helps enhance the greater Austin community through his involvement with Mobile Loaves and Fishes through his local church. Steve also enjoys spending time entertaining—cooking (barbecue brisket is his specialty), mixing up cocktails for friends, keeping busy with home improvement projects, and showing off his impressive tequila collection—with plenty of samples, of course.
Steve is a proud Austin homeowner and lives with his wife and two children Ryan and Ava, and their furry little dog, Oprah.
