Susan Sonnesyn Brooks is an excellent, kind, loyal and professional realtor. She definitely goes beyond the average.
I’ve known Susan for 10+ years and have referred her several times, once even to my son, but hadn’t the occasion to use her myself.
This year I sold my home and purchased a new one. Susan handled both. She made a possibly stressful situation go smoothly. She took my calls and texts and emails without a “really?” Always professional. Even after I decided what home I wanted to buy, she spent an afternoon and evening showing me others for comparison. I felt good about my decision. She spent a day helping me get my home ready to show. (It did, quickly.). Susan did so many many things.
Never have I had a realtor go so far out of their way, even after the closings were done. Refer her? You bet. Thank you, Susan.

When my wife and I opted to go with Susan Brooks as our realtor, I figured “easy money” for her. After all, we owned a lovely home with a large yard in a desirable neighborhood where houses consistently sell quickly with multiple bidders at above the initial asking price. And this was the case with our home — one open-house weekend; eight bids, all of them above the (unreasonably low) initial asking price; no inspection or other contingency clauses. Like shooting fish in a barrel.

But what I learned during the six-week period between staging and settlement is just how complex and demanding the job of realtor is. And Susan, a true professional who has been in the business for 20+ years, knows all the steps and potential pitfalls. She did an excellent job of helping us sell our home and was always available (either by phone or in person) to answer questions and give advice. Whether you have been through the process many times or are a first-time buyer or seller, I would highly recommend her.

Susan was recommended to us from a colleague, and we have been so grateful for the referral from the get-go. Moving to Maryland from out of state, we were unfamiliar with the real estate, neighborhoods, and best practices for acquiring a home in that area. We are SO THANKFUL that we had Susan as our agent! She helped us through every step of our home sale, from formulating a strategy to the final steps of closing. Her advice on the strategy and timing of our home sale was invaluable. In fact, Susan’s advice on when to go on the market probably helped us get hundreds of thousands of dollars more for our house, than if we had gone with our original timeline!

Susan went above and beyond in making sure all the details were perfect for the house, from the house tours right up to the close. She has a great eye for what the buyers are looking for and how to showcase the house to its best advantage.

She was on top of all of the paperwork and contracts, and ushered us through the process every step of the way. We had a complicated relocation, and she not only kept us on track - she also proactively reached out to coordinate with other parties if it seemed like something was missing. She followed up on issues, so we didn’t have to do endless “phone tag” but could just make decisions with all of the information we needed.

Susan has a great 360 view of EVERYTHING that needs to be done for a sale. She also has an extensive network of resources that helped us along the way - painters, stagers, cleaners, handymen, etc. Basically either Susan knows what to do, or exactly who to bring in for the job. We 100% recommended her, and wish we knew someone like her in our new place!

I never realized how huge a difference having a good realtor makes when hunting for a house, especially as a first-time buyer, until Susan helped us find ours.

We called her two weeks ago, had financing through a lender she connected us with pre-approved by the end of last week, and had a contract on a house that she negotiated for below the list price in a seller’s market in a county we never thought we’d be able to afford a home in early this week. We just finished getting an inspection done with a very experienced inspector at a good rate.

She’s given expert advice wherever our knowledge has been lacking and has worked late into the night making sure our house search is wrapped up neatly, smoothly, and with a favorable outcome for us. She’s handled every step of the process with aplomb; we haven’t had to put any thought whatsoever into details of where to get whatever service we might need.

We are still in a state of disbelief at how fast and easy this has been from start to finish.
