Tusculum College in Greenville, Tennessee awarded Tami a bachelor of science degree in applied organizational management with cum laude honors. She earned an associate of science degree from Harford Community College in Bel Air, Maryland. Tami graduated from Wausau West High School in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Tami was born in Quantico, Virginia while her father attended Marine Corps Officers Candidate School. She's lived and traveled throughout the United States as well as Europe.
