About Ted
Ted Goldsmith likes to make what seems impossible possible.
This 2-time marathon runner and triathlete father has been a realtor for more than 15 years. He thrives on competition and a foundation built on persistence, patience, and communication to ensure a pleasant experience for the home buyer and seller. "When I've gone above and beyond bringing all the pieces together, and see the relief on my clients' faces, that makes me happiest and I feel my best."
Ted traded in his decade of institutional investment banking for a New York City company after growing its Charlotte branch from 4 to 250 people to invest in helping people find their home. He has been recognized for outstanding performance with the Master Circle Award. He thrives on problem solving and interacting with people. "It keeps me alive. I try to get a win-win for everybody and make the process as pleasurable as I can while protecting my clients."
His goal is simple: "I make sure to set proper expectations early so when closing time comes, it's a happy situation for everyone."
He also takes advantage of professional educational opportunities and is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), the highest credential awarded to residential sales agents.
Ted says more people moving to the Charlotte area is good for the quality of life here, because with growth comes overall appreciation in the entire area. The city's appetite for industry growth also helps residents by providing more options for things to do and see, all sandwiched within a short drive between the ocean or the mountains. "The beauty of Charlotte from Queens, Ballantyne, Waxhaw, or the lakes, Charlotte has everything for everybody."
The Long Island, N.Y., native says newcomers will find Charlotte throws out the welcome mat. "If you live here, you're accepted into Charlotte."
Ted graduated from Bethany College in West Virginia studying German and psychology. In his spare time, he volunteers serving on YMCA committees and helps feed the homeless through Calvary Church’s Street ministry.
