About Terry
TW Shortt retired from the US Army in 1988. At the time of his retirement, he was Chief of Operations and Training at NCO Academy / Drill Sergeant School Fort Knox. Prior to that, he was the senior drill sergeant in B company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Armor Training Brigade. He was an armor crewman. His army career took him to Vietnam, Korea, and Germany over a 20-year period.
After leaving active duty in 1988, he earned a real estate brokers license and opened TW Shortt Realty. By the mid 90’s the firm had over 50 sales agents in three offices in Hardin County. Today the company consist of a property management office with nearly 500 rental units working with over 200 investors managing residential, commercial, and shopping center space. His company built 46 single family homes and developed two residential subdivisions, one in Radcliff and one in Rineyville. They restored commercial buildings and handled hundreds of real estate transactions in Hardin County over the last thirty years.
Mr. Shortt is past president of The Heart of Kentucky Association of REALTORS, Past president of the Hardin County Small Business Association, Chairman of the Hardin County Service Unit of The Salvation Army, Co-Founder of the Radcliff Small Business Alliance, and was elected to a two-year term as a Radcliff City Councilman in 2014. He was the Republican party nominee for Kentucky State Representative District 10 in 2016. He currently works actively in the real estate business Primarily in Radcliff also throughout Hardin County.
