About Thomas

Thomas earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business with a focus on Hotel & Restaurant Management, Real Estate and Finance from Florida State University in 1975. After a short career with NAPA, Thomas earned his Florida real estate license and shortly became a multi-million dollar “top producer” with ARVIDA Realty Sales in Miami-Dade County. Beginning in 1981, he began an appraisal career with Real Estate Appraisal Services, a national residential appraisal and appraisal review firm and studied the appraisal curriculum with The American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers. Thomas earned the RM and SRA designations in 1985 and the prestigious MAI designation in 1993 and the CCIM designation from the CCIM Institute in 1997. Tom Jones Realty, Inc. was founded in 1989 and operated as a real estate sales and appraisal firm until it was sold to Coldwell Banker in 1998. Thomas was Chief Analyst with a mortgage banking firm in Orlando from 1998 to 2003 during which time he was involved in negotiation, underwriting and packaging commercial mortgages for Institutional Life Insurance companies and Wall Street conduit lenders. From 2003 through 2007 Thomas was Director of Commercial Appraisal Review for Colonial Bank, the fifth largest regional bank in Florida. Florida Real Estate Advisors, Inc. was founded in 2003 and continues its operation from our office near the Orlando International Airport. This extensive background in the real Estate Industry qualifies our firm for Real Estate Appraisal, Appraisal Review, and Commercial and Residential Real Estate Brokerage services for all Real Property types.
