Thomas Matthews

As a fourth generation native, Tom Matthews has a deep understanding of Santa Fe’s unique culture and neighborhoods. Educated at the University of New Mexico, Tom lived in Washington D.C. and Denver before returning to Santa Fe in 1991 to join the family office supply company. Tom began his startup Matthews Office Supply in 1999 and ran it successfully for 14 years by nurturing community relationships based on integrity and trust.

From his first experience with a local contractor at age 14 to Denver Square renovations and transforming his own small Stamm house in Santa Fe into a home for his four children, Tom has always been building and remodeling. Tom knows when a house has good bones and can see beyond superficial fixes or flaws. Based on his decades of experience in real estate and in Santa Fe, Tom provides all his clients with proven, local knowledge coupled with calm, professional advice. In his own words, “A real estate transaction is a significant event, and I value the trust my clients place in me during this consequential process.” Tom has always loved northern New Mexico and you can find him most weekends fishing, camping, hiking, mountain biking, or golfing at one of his favorite, secret places.
