Tila Cota is a full-time real estate broker in San Diego and has been a licensed Realtor since 2001. She has completed over $100M in residential, commercial and investment property sales in San Diego and Riverside Counties.
As a young homeowner at age 23, property investor and landlord since 1995, Tila quickly realized real estate was her true passion - building a "net worth" was her primary goal and objective. She began her career as a Program Manager in Residential New Construction at Sempra Energy/San Diego Gas & Electric (2000-2002), and worked directly with builders, developers, architects, and their design teams to help integrate energy efficiency into new home construction (custom, single and multi-family homes). In 2007, Ms. Cota was recruited as Director of Sales and Marketing for a local builder/developer, Pacific Homes International (Eaton Development) and was instrumental in the acquisition of real estate land, development, design, and construction (yellow report thru final white report process). Tila was responsible for the marketing and release of (4) new home construction developments in Central and East County areas.
Over the last 13 years, Mrs. Cota has obtained vast experience working at real estate brokerages such as California Key Realty (Uptown/Metro), 5th & Laurel Realty (Downtown San Diego), ERA Metro Realty (Downtown San Diego), Prudential California Realty (Mission Valley), and continued her real estate transition to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices-California Properties when Warren Buffet acquired Prudential California Realty in September, 2013.
Tila Cota possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing (SDSU), and Master's Degree in Health Law from UCSD and California Western School of Law. She also has obtained many industry designations such as Military Relocation Professional (MRP), Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Accredited Staging Professional (ASP), a Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI) and is California Notary Public. Mrs. Cota is also a Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) and has closed many short sale transactions as a result of her efforts. Tila is also a recipient of the 2011,2012,2013,2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 San Diego Magazine's "Five Star Real Estate Agents" Award, the result of a survey in which respondents rated agents based on their service, communication, marketing, integrity and more.
