When you discover your true passion, life becomes a lot more fun. Tim Doody couldn't agree more. There's an old saying that goes, "Find what you love and you'll never work a day in your life." To know Tim Doody is to know a walking embodiment of that phrase. From the moment, he wakes up to the time he goes to bed, his passion for life and business is obvious. But it wasn't always so. This is the story of how he learned that important life lesson. You see, for more than 25 years, Tim worked his way up the ranks of a national retailer. He started as a salesperson in a store, climbed the ladder and within 10 years earned a promotion to a corporate management position as a District Manager. For the next 15 years, he oversaw stores in various regions throughout the Southeast. In this role, Tim was responsible for reaching sales goals, developing servicing systems and making personnel decisions. He enjoyed his job, but he didn't thrive on it. It certainly didn't fit the description above, and it felt like "work" every day.
After devoting a quarter century of his life to this company, Tim longed to pursue a new career path. He sought balance and a profession he couldn't be passionate about. In his personal life, he found passion in the Florida lifestyle, enjoying a walk on the beach with his wife or testing himself on one of the countless golf courses throughout the area. Professionally, he finally discovered that passion when he left the stability of his management role and turned his sights to real estate. He loved it from day one. "Having the opportunity to play an important role in such a significant part of people's lives inspires me every day," Tim says. "I've never been more excited to get up and go to work than every day since I became a REALTOR."
Tim's passion for real estate shows in the energy and excitement with which he approaches every client's home sale or purchase. In his previous career, one of Tim's chief responsibilities was in creating service models for employees working in the stores and stressing the importance of customer service at every turn. He had a saying that went, "It's all in the set up," which meant that as long as all the systems were in place, good things would happen. He quickly adopted a similar approach to real estate, and the results have his clients singing his praises.
