Tim was amazing to work with. He really knows his stuff. With his insight and knowledge he was able to get me a much better profit on my home sale than I was expecting.

He took care of all of the labor to get my property ready and I was astounded at how swiftly things were accomplished and how seamless the whole process was.

I will be calling Tim for any future real estate transactions. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an experienced and dedicated agent.

Tim was highly recommended to us by our previous landlord whom he services all his properties. We are first time homebuyers and with that being said, had no idea of what we were getting into. Luckily with Tim at our side along the way, he listened to all our needs of what we were looking for, and had a lot of patience for all our questions we had (which were many). Tim was truly incredible to work with. We had a number of bumps in our financing and Tim was there through the whole thing giving a ton of insight and help as we dealt with our lender. Tim also had an attention to detail when it came to our walk through that was a gamechanger.

I was lucky to find Tim though my best friends who bought a house with him and raved about him. I found that working with Tim was very reassuring, and he made the selling process smooth and easy. I am new to buying and selling homes, and he was so patient and explained everything. He never made me feel like I was asking silly questions (although I did ask a lot of them!). Selling a home is very stressful, especially when you have to sell quickly, and not only did Tim help me sell the house in 4 days, but we made money to boot (which I wasn't necessarily expecting to do). I highly recommend working with TIm. He really does care about his clients.

I trust Tim completely, and consider him both an excellent realtor and a friend. We have bought two homes with his assistance, the second due to a house fire. When he heard about our fire, which was just before Thanksgiving, he brought us a Thanksgiving dinner for our family of 9, cookware, and dishes. I remember the big hugs he gave to us and our children, and I remember his empathy. We were very eager to move into a new home, and he toured houses, both our recommendations and his. Our first offer didn't work out, through no fault of his. He continued to be supportive, and our second offer went through. He brought a care package which our kids loved. I cannot recommend Tim more highly.

My husband and I struck gold when we met Tim. We truly did not know what to look for in a home outside of what we just liked and disliked, but Tim helped us see what we could not.

Tim's years of expertise and continued training show that he continually strives to be better than he was yesterday. He was able to point out the siding on some homes and how it would retain water, causing problems later on--along with other great pieces of advice that one wouldn't know just by looking at the home or listing without an obviously trained eye. He also pointed out the good when we weren't seeing it as easily. Overall, I like that he didn't allow us to make immediate decisions on homes without further consideration.

He also listened to what we were looking for, advised us on what would fit within our budget, showed us homes in the evenings and on weekends (on relatively short notice from us at times), and was a general pleasure to be around the entire time. In the end, Tim was able to advise us on what best to offer, got our first offer accepted, and made the process extremely easy. We absolutely love the home we purchased, and if we ever have a friend or family member who needs a realtor, we know where to send them. :)

Start to finish Tim was fantastic to work with. Prior to our purchase we didn't have a place in Portland and we weren't spending much time in the area. He made himself available at our convenience to look at various condominiums in order to get a better understanding of what type of property we were looking for.

After we returned home Tim continued to monitor the market and send us listings he thought we'd be interested in. We found one that we thought checked all the boxes but we were unable to return to Portland for an extended period of time so he went out of his way and produced a video tour of the property and the unit. It was fantastic and gave us the confidence to submit an offer and ultimately complete the transaction.

We are impressed by his resourcefulness, understanding of our objectives and familiarity with the Portland market. We would absolutely use him again and provided a positive reference.

Tim’s knowledge of the Portland/Vancouver market was super helpful. He was able to help us focus on areas that would meet our needs. He was honest about the ups and downs of different areas, as well as the different homes we toured. He was able to point out features we didn’t notice that could be a problem or a disadvantage.
We looked at over 20 homes with Tim and he never made me feel like I was wasting his time. He was always personable, responsive and attentive.

Tim is just fantastic. He is very knowledgeable about both the process of buying/selling a house and the different variables that can make a house a good deal or a potential nightmare. He clearly tells you how much it will cost you to change a system or solve a problem and whether something is not in good shape and needs attention. He knows everything about floor types, insulation, heating, siding, etc., which is very helpful when comparing different homes. He goes out of his way to take care of things and investigate or solve any clarifications that the customer is worried about or not so clear or comfortable with.
He is amazing at scheduling to visit a lot of houses that match your expectations and never gets tired. He will answer all your questions and try to get any additional information very quickly. And he is an excellent negotiator at the time of settling a final price. I cannot think of a better agent to fulfill the difficult task of finding one's dream home.

Each time that I have worked with him he has exhibited incredible communication skills, a deep understanding of Portland neighborhoods, and a willingness to work quickly- which is crucial in this market! He went out of his way to show us houses as soon as we found ones we liked and that is supremely important in the Portland market right now because good houses don't last long! Have used Tim Saeland for two home purchases over the years. The second one included selling our previous home and offers on different properties until one was accepted. The process was made much easier by his expertise and team of professionals, whom he recommended for the variety of issues which occurred. Most impressive was his negotiations with one particularly difficult seller. We are most grateful for his persistence in retrieving our earnest money when the seller would neither sign the last contract offer (which gave everything they asked for) nor the termination contract to release us from negotiations. It was a nightmare that he salvaged, so we could continue our hunt for a new home. Every aspect of our purchase process was made easier by his skills. We can not recommend him enough.

Tim helped us sell our home in Portland and purchase our new home in Vancouver 4 years ago. He was always professional, punctual, and understanding of our needs. Tim pays attention to the small things, and really helped us navigate some of the little details of houses we were looking at, such as materials used in the houses and things that would need to be updated soon. Even though I was not looking at super pricey homes and I am a young home buyer, Tim gave me his total attention and respect. Tim is the right realtor for you, if you are intelligent and want someone who respects your intelligence; someone who really knows and cares about the area, since he grew up here; who knows all the ins and outs of buying a home, and is willing to explain them all carefully and patiently; who is there for you if you are stressing; and most of all, if you appreciate someone who is wise enough to never never put pressure on you (except, of course, to remind you diplomatically if an important deadline is coming up), but let you do the home-buying at your own pace and in your own way, while being there with expert advice and ideas.

Tim is a great realtor, and we can highly recommend him. We bought a home in Lake Oswego while still living in New Mexico, and Tim provided tons of help in researching homes online and then going out with us to view prospective homes for purchase. He took the time to really understand what we were interested in purchasing, in terms of location, features and price range, so we did not have to spend time viewing homes that did not fit our criteria.
