Timothy Shamble

Retired Federal Government Employee with 28 years of service with the Office of Cuba Broadcasting and the Voice of America. I was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania, so I still root for the Pittsburgh sports teams, although I have been in the Northern Virginia area long enough now that, if the Washington teams are not playing Pittsburgh, I root for them. I have traveled all over the country since I was a kid. I have been in every State of the country except Alaska (only because once I got to Hawaii I kept going back there). I’ll get to Alaska one of these days. I am married (Debra) with no kids. We both love BTs. I am a fan of classic rock and have fun playing guitar (not well). Running is my main form of exercise and I ran the Marine Corps Marathon in 2012. I love to read and on average finish at least 20 books a year, I am a graduate of Alma College (in Michigan) with a B.A. in History so much of my reading focuses on historical writing especially Eric Larson, David McCullough, Les Standiford, and T.J. English.
