About Tom

Graduated from UALR January 1969, entered US Army April '69, Graduated Artillery OCS April '70,stationed Hanau Germany till November '71. Managed Hamilton Plantation south of Carlisle,AR until it was sold in 2003, Founded River City Oil Co. in 1980, specializing in the sale of commercial and industrial oils. Sold River City Oil in 1995 to concentrate of the farm.

Moved to the Greers Ferry Lake in 2003, spent the next few years building frnces and barns for our Quarter Horse breeding operation, before being talked into selling real estate for Greers Ferry Realty.

Now working with Mckenzie Realty Group in Heber Springs, AR.

Married to April Peterson in February 1969, still enjoying life together. Our children, Virginia Hassell (Luke), Dripping Springs, TX and Thomas Shurgar (Hayden Wilbourn) have 3 children each.
