Toni Mikel

Toni's parents, both Realtors, raised her in a southwestern Washington city that she affectionately refers to as Vantucky. After much fussing and rebellion, she succumbed to fate and got her real estate license in 1998. In 2003, she was chosen as one of the tops “30 under 30” Realtors in the country by Realtor Magazine and was also the youngest Realtor ever featured on the cover of Portland’s “Broker/Agent Magazine.” In 2006, she opened Bluebird Real Estate and has since then been enjoying the freedom and creativity to model her business to fit her clients’ needs.

Real estate is a funny business. It is on one hand intensely technical and on the other requires a lot of creativity. She has found that it is a perfect fit for her skill set on a professional level, but, more importantly to her personally, the rewards in the relationships she gains are invaluable. Her job is a service she provides because she cares about people and, because of how much she cares, she makes it a point to be as technically excellent as possible.

In her “free time,” she loves food, wine, nature, reading, gardening, soccer, travel, and languages. At some point, she will take a sabbatical to finish authoring the book she began in 2006. In the meantime, she is learning mandarin and doing her best to keep her husband and a lot of plants alive.
