About Traci
Traci Mitchell Austin knows better than anyone what making a big move entail. Originally hailing from New Orleans, Traci has lived in and around Washington, D.C. for over 20 years, serving buyers and sellers in the DMV area for the past eleven. Though she still has a deep appreciation for her Louisiana roots, Traci could not be prouder to call the diverse, ever evolving, and vibrant community of D.C. home.
With her background as an Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist, Traci has a unique skill set you’d be hard-pressed to find with any other agent. She prides herself on being a tenacious negotiator, an eloquent communicator, and a strategic thinker.
After nearly two decades working in broadcast journalism, Traci decided to pursue a new career avenue, turning to real estate in 2009. Despite the challenging and rocky state of the market, Traci seamlessly weathered the storm, quickly establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with and garnering a sterling reputation. Helping people find their dream home is one of Traci’s favorite parts of the job—at the end of the day, her clients’ happiness is a genuine source of joy for her.
Smart, persistent, and enthusiastic, Traci excels at efficiently examining and assessing situations, utilizing creative problem-solving skills to advocate for her clients and get the best deals. She tirelessly seeks innovative solutions, doing what her clients have been told cannot be done.
With her endless energy and positivity, Traci offers a high standard of professional ethics; it’s not surprising that her business is based on referrals. Many of Traci's clients choose to work with her again and again, even recommending her to their families, friends, and colleagues.
Traci sincerely values time spent with her husband and two children, which is why she often volunteers for events and activities at her children’s school. Her altruism doesn't end with her own family, as her efforts extend to a membership with the Junior League of Washington—a local organization that focuses on funding resources for complex literacy issues for all age groups.
