I’ve been rehabbing homes for about 20 years and figured I knew it all, boy was I wrong. My motto was put back together make it shine a little and it will be fine. Not these days. You better know your market if you want to sell your home. So I’m ready to sell my rehab and need a realtor to do my bidding. I’m always looking for property and a buddy of mind told me about Tracy Tomovik, COVA Homes, to make a long story short she’s Jonny on the spot. You text or call her, she right back at you within what seems like seconds : “ Earl that property under contract.” Earl that property available when would you like to see it.” Finally meet with her in Newport News evaluating properties, then to Chesapeake, Portsmouth and back to the Beach. Just putting in work. So when it was time to sell my Rehab who do you call? Tomovik, you already know the work ethic. To my surprise she brought her partner with her. Diane Rigsby. Called one got two I must be doing some right. They walk around look up stairs and down . Said we did a nice job on the home. Everything thing new but they kept coming back to that kitchen I design. I was so proud. All custom cabinets stainless steal appliances, new flooring. I was just shining like the kitchen. Then Diana turn to me and said so kindly, “ Earl buyers want to see themselves cooking in their kitchen. Creating food and well you may want to……. I install a kitchen for a tiny house, apartment stove and all. I was crushed, there went my $250k. So redo the kitchen or make it a rental. Well that was a easy decision. The money was spent. We’re receiving a good return on our rental thanks to Tracy and Diane keeping it real and putting people first. A Win Win situation.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Tracy as a homebuyer. She exudes so many incredible qualities as a professional, but her greatest impact lies in the way she pours her heart into her work. This turned out to be a difficult home to purchase as it was an estate sale. Multiple challenges presented themselves during the closing process from the sellers side (we were buyer). Tracy was instrumental helping us navigate through to get to the finish line working with both listing agent and closing attorneys.

Tracy and Diane stayed on top of things, updated us regularly and kept in touch.
