Troy was amazing!! As a first time home buyer I had absolutely no clue what I was doing, he laid everything out for us and made it so much less stressful. Troy was recommended to us through our lender, Joe Longobardi, and I’m so thankful we went with him. They’re a great team to have as a buyer. With the current market, it took us about a year to get into a house. It can be hard in such a competitive market to keep a positive attitude, but Troy brings a refreshing outlook the whole way. Every time we looked at a house, he was great at being personable and making you actually able to picture yourself in the home. He’s so kind and genuinely caring, while also being blunt on things that need it, and taking YOUR needs into consideration. If you’re in the market for a house, you’re doing a disservice to yourself if you aren’t using Joe with VanDyk mortgage as your lender, and Troy as your realtor.

Buying and building a home during a pandemic comes with a whole new set of worries, but Troy was there every step of the way to lay my fears to rest. He was thorough in explaining the process, setting the right expectations when I thought things were moving more slowly than I would have liked. He was incredibly responsive, no matter how many questions I e-mailed him! I always knew if I reached out, that he would be prompt, and more importantly, would provide me with the right answers. He was a wonderful liaison between myself and the builder, and as a bonus, was a great resource when seeking additional vendors for home improvement projects. On a more personal note, but equally as important, Troy is a pleasure to work with. He is genuinely excited for his clients and makes the process as smooth as it can be. Troy Laur is, by far, the best Realtor that I know of. He is our family realtor now for life. Our home purchase was FAR from simple and easy (fault, not on our end). We knew of a house we wanted but also wanted to look at others. He found us some great options but we ultimately went with the one we had our eye on. Little did we know there would be issues beyond any of our (or Troy's) control. However, Troy went above and beyond to help us thru this stressful time. He played the role of realtor, project manager, mediator - even therapist to me at times! He did this all with a smile and never complained. There is nothing this man can't do. Let me say this was a long process from our initial conversations a couple years back with Troy about selling our home and buying another. Never once did he seem discouraged about our timeline. He was always there to answer questions and help us find the perfect home. We were a tough buyer with our restraints on school districts and location vs our needs for the new house and Troy was always super respectful of those needs.
