Trudi Lee has been selling and listing homes at the North Tahoe area for over 30 years. Her real estate philosophy maintains a meticulous attention to the needs of her clients.
Born in mainland China, Trudi experienced life in Hong Kong as a child, immigrating with her parents to Southern California at the age of nine. This journey, from a small village to the flourishing environment of California, shaped her life. She quickly learned hard work goes hand in hand with success while working in her father's Chinese laundry at a very young age. Having left China with nothing, her father's work ethic and integrity brought their family success and instilled in Trudi a lasting desire to work hard and succeed.
In 1973, Trudi moved to North Lake Tahoe. She fell in love with Tahoe's rich landscape and the small-town atmosphere of Tahoe City. She enjoys the year-round recreation that Tahoe has to offer and most of all, the four seasons of Tahoe... The brilliant colors of autumn, the fresh fallen snow of winter, the forest coming to life with critters of all types in the spring and the warm days of summer, when Tahoe is bustling with vacationers. In 1981, Trudi obtained her real estate license. At a time when interest rates were at the highest in history, Trudi worked hard to establish herself. Facing this challenge head-on, she found success in the 90s and her business flourished. Having resided in North Tahoe for over 40 years, she's seen the changes in Lake Tahoe; the gradual rise and decline of the Lake levels mirroring similar changes in the real estate market, and she has endeavored to remain successful throughout.
No two homes are alike at Tahoe. Each home has its unique aspects, and each setting and location is different, explains Trudi. That's part of the challenge, but also why I love my work. Most of our homebuyers do their initial searches on the internet but will soon need a local realtor's expertise to complete their searches and negotiations and finally bring the transaction to a close. When purchasing a home from Trudi, she will explain to her buyer, all the positives and negatives of a property as if she, herself were the buyer. When selling a home with Trudi, she will 'market', not just list your home for sale.
