A lifelong Kansas resident, Ty grew up in Butler County and specializes in small-town, rural residential, farm, and ranch properties both auction and traditional listings. Ty has demonstrated consistent success in the real estate industry. In fact, he was privileged to be recognized as the Rookie of the Year and a Rising Star award honoree in his first year as a REALTOR®. He was also the 2019 Kansas Auctioneer Champion at the Kansas Auctioneers Association’s annual bid-calling championship.
Ty earned his Bachelor of Science in History, cum laude, from Emporia State University in May 2009 and obtained his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Washburn University School of Law in December 2011. He is also a graduate of the Worldwide College of Auctioneering and the Professional Ringman’s Institute.
Ty has worked as general counsel, auctioneer, and REALTOR with McCurdy Real Estate & Auction, LLC since 2015. Previously, Ty practiced law at a small firm in Topeka, Kansas, where he focused on the areas of creditor rights/asset protection, real estate litigation, transactional drafting, and estate planning and probate. Ty is a current member of the Kansas and Wichita Bar Associations, the Kansas and National Auctioneers Association, and the National Association of REALTORS®, Kansas Association of REALTORS®, and the REALTORS® of South-Central Kansas.
