Wendy holds a Masters in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago, studied Architecture for her Undergraduate Degree at Auburn University, and completed the Executive Leadership program at Cornell University.
Wendy previously managed a $23 billion portfolio of federal investment in public and private infrastructure as a senior manager at the United States Department of Transportation. She has extensive experience in negotiations, contract management, and strategic communications. She has also held positions focusing on consulting, marketing and design. Wendy’s ability to deliver results in high-profile projects resulted in 5 promotions within 11 years. Wendy currently lives in Upper Northwest DC with her two school-aged children and their treasured rescue dog, enjoys volunteering in her community, including serving as President of Tenleytown Main Street, and unwinds with art, yoga, and comedy in her downtime. Wendy is also the founder of Confetti, a community play cafe in the heart of Tenleytown.
