William Bluhm

Bill Bluhm, a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), previous owner of Bratty and Bluhm Real Estate, and now a Broker Associate with Sotheby's International Realty offers 50 years of experience as a full-time real estate agent and broker. Specializing in residential single and multi-family real estate on the Monterey Peninsula of California, Bill has sold more than 1,000 homes, brokered more than 4,000 transactions, and achieved a 98% closing record throughout his career.
Buyers and sellers alike find Bill's depth of knowledge, intuition, experience, and natural ability to think outside the box to be an invaluable resource. He is an expert in finance and negotiation who has mastered the art of closing the deal and has an established a reputation as a mentor and leader in the real estate world. Bill knows that buying and selling a home is one of life's most important decisions and works to ease the process by guiding clients every step of the way by listening to their reasons for selling or purchasing, then working tirelessly to achieve their objectives. He helps obtain the correct permits and advises clients on ways to improve their properties including recommending local contractors, plumbers, landscapers and architects for remodeling, construction, and cosmetic changes. Even after transactions have closed, Bill continues to be a valuable consultant whenever his clients need him.
Bill established Bratty and Bluhm 18 years ago after purchasing 50-year-old Bratty Real Estate, a highly regarded full-service residential firm which also offers property management services. He obtained real estate broker licenses in both Texas and California and his CRS designation from the Council of Residential Specialists. His dedication to the industry is reflected in his past roles on the board of the Monterey County Association of Realtors where he has served as president, treasurer, and chairman of the arbitration committee. He also served on the board of the Multiple Listing Service.

Bill is deeply committed to the community having lived in the Pacific Grove area for more than 30 years with his wife, Helen, a Pacific Grove native. He served as treasurer and president of the Junipero Serra School Parents Club, vice-chair of the City of Pacific Grove Planning Commission, past vice-chair and board member of the Pacific Grove Business Improvement District, vice-chair and board member of the Pacific Grove Housing Committee, and ombudsman board member of the Monterey County Alliance on Aging. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, real estate investing, and spending time with his seven children and four grandchildren.
