Formerly a sleepy farming community about 25 miles northwest of Minneapolis, the city of Rogers saw a more than 400 percent jump in population in the 2000 census as suburban growth reached the northwest. Another leap happened in 2012 when Rogers annexed nearby Hassan Township to boost the population to over 13,000. “It’s what’s considered an outer-ring suburb that’s growing,” says Andy Peterson, a real estate agent with eXp Realty. “There’s a lot of new construction happening here.
