Why Live in Tavola
On the far northern outskirts of Houston, Tavola is a planned Texas neighborhood bisected by Interstate 69. The proximity to the highway that runs through the community has proven to be one of its biggest appeals. “I had a client that wanted the ease of being right off the freeway for the commute to work,” says Kimberly Buish, a Realtor with JLA Realty. “The commute, the trees in the neighborhood and the walking trails were big draws to them – they like that feel. Other clients were looking for something new, to get out of the hustle and bustle.” In addition to easy interstate access and the trails that wind through the community, Tavola offers its residents amenities like a rec center and an elementary school located within the neighborhood. Housing flanks the highway and ranges from more affordable properties on the west side to pricier options on the east side. Tavola has two distinct housing markets, one on each side of the interstate, and many homes are situated close together, with small yards. “The east side is the original Tavola, which is more high-end,” Buish says. “The west side is more affordable. I would say most of the homes are modern, traditional styles.” Homes on
