The Town of Lake neighborhood was once a 30-square-mile agricultural town south of Milwaukee. But over about 100 years, the town was chipped away — annexed in sections by the city until the town was no more. Today, Town of Lake is one of several suburban neighborhoods that make up the Garden District. Buyers choose from mid-20th-century homes, and residents walk to parks and restaurants.
