Why Live in Santa Rita

About a mile south of San Angelo’s downtown area, Santa Rita is a desirable community that hugs the bend of the North Concho River. “The whole Santa Rita neighborhood is from old money,” says Carl White, San Angelo’s Parks and Recreation Director. “The Santa Rita oil well started the oil boom in West Texas, and the money that spun off from that created the neighborhood.
