Why Live in Bellevue Terrace

Saying Bellevue Terrace is the "next Pinecraft” might mean little to non-locals, but to many in the Sarasota area, this neighborhood is the next best thing to that popular Amish and Mennonite community. This small, mostly residential area sits about a mile from Pinecraft’s many popular Amish restaurants and shops and near an entry point for the Legacy Trail, a walking and biking path that spans nearly 20 miles between Sarasota and Venice. Other Florida snowbirds, full-time residents, and vacation property investors are also drawn to Bellevue Terrace for its charming midcentury homes, lack of HOAs, and proximity to downtown Sarasota and the beach. Most homes in Bellevue Terrace are midcentury-era ranch-style with two or three bedrooms. Some are considered “Atomic Ranch,” a popular twist on the typical build that includes pops of color, huge windows and low rooflines. Albert Wooster, a broker with Albert Wooster & Co. who has sold throughout the area, says many properties in the area retain vintage charm, but could use a little TLC. “There is a lot of enthusiasm over those homes,” he says. Some 1980s-era split-level and New Traditional style homes from the 1990s and early 2000s
