Residents of the Highland Square neighborhood of West Akron have convenient access to a variety of faith-based and private educational options. St. Vincent de Paul Parish School is one of them that serves students in pre-k through eighth grade and provides them with an intimate, private setting that promotes positive, faith-filled learning opportunities. By incorporating a science, technology, religion, engineering, art and math (STREAM) method of instruction, the school’s hands-on approach helps students develop their confidence, skills and talents to become inventive, creative problem-solvers. A dedicated staff assists students in developing a love for learning by empowering students to reach their potential in spiritual growth, academic achievement, creativity and citizenship. Community support through partnerships with the Akron Zoo, Akron Soap Box Derby, Hattie Larlham and Country Pure Foods opens up opportunities for students and connects them with major players within the community that provide access to real-world challenges and solutions. The school is rich with academic support, including an after-school program perfect for working parents who want to provide their children with ample educational opportunities. Despite being a private school, St. Vincent de Paul Parish School accepts all students regardless of financial status. The school is proud to offer access to the Ohio Ed Choice Scholarship Program and tuition assistance from the Cleveland Catholic Diocese.

My son is thriving and has very supportive and loving teachers and classmates. I could not have asked for a better school for him. He loves everything about his school. As for thr principal, he loves her too. She too is both kind and loving towards my son.
