I had a wonderful experience at Barbe high school. I was granted many opportunitys to compete in Cross Country, Track, and Tennis. The coaching has been a huge benefit to my success as an athlete and the comunity of other athletes makes it all worth it. I was also pleased with my teachers. Not every teacher there is amazing but I was pleased with all of my teachers. There were many academic opportunitys to take ap classes and even dual enroll at McNeese. Overall, I really enjoyed it and will remember that chapter of my life.

I would like to see a better focus on academics rather than sports. I would also like to see a focus on safety at school as construction has begun just as the school year started.

My years at Barbe were decent. The school was quite dirty and the buildings flooded often after the storms. There was mold in the buildings and the gym bleachers were seldom clean. The actual academic portion wasn't too bad; a lot was taught well in the math and science departments. English, however, has room for improvement. The sports were fun and enjoyable and most of the teachers were decent.

I attended high school at Barbe.. my Mother was a substitute teacher there before I attended.. we both had wonderful experiences at this school. I went to school in California, Texas, and Louisiana… and Barbe was was definitely one of the best I attended.

I went to high school here and enjoyed my time there. It is set up like a mini college campus so it gives you the atmosphere to help you prepare for the college environment. I felt like the classes also prepared us for college and they also had some students get college credit for certain courses.
