The best part about Amarillo High School is the AP classes they offer. They over a wide range of AP courses and they prepare you for college. The worst part is probably the lack of discipline for misbehaving students. If I could change one thing about it, it would be to get rid of our cell phone policy/ make adjustments (like being able to have our phones at lunch and in the hallways but not in classrooms).

As a student at Amarillo High School, the best thing has been the diverse amount of classes they offered and my ability to attend AmTech half the day and take classes related to the career I want to go into. The worst thing about Amarillo High School is the lack of student advisory.

Then when the student turns the work in the teacher still leaves the grade at a 0. It is very frustrating to the point where the student...

Excellent teachers at AP level. Daughter more than capable to handle college when she graduated. Most teachers are dedicated and love what they teach. Amarillo High offers many programs for other interests as well.

I have two students that currently attend AHS. Both of them have had an excellent education with fantastic teachers. I wouldn't want them to go to any other school in Amarillo. They will both have one year of college credit when they graduate. Their teachers go over and above to ensure a quality edu...
