The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

do not associate with this school whatsoever. i've been a student here for 11 years, and all i've learned is that the teachers only care about their paycheck—not the students. they do not teach in effective ways, leaving the majority of students failing or scoring badly on tests. the teachers here do not care about you. they either treat you like a 3-year-old and make you feel stupid, or are just blatantly rude and humiliate you in front of the entire class for no good reason. they all pick favorites as well, and will openly lie to you to get their way. the science teacher also flirts with all the boys. once i leave this godforsaken school, i'm never thinking about it anymore than i have to for the rest of my life. the staff needs to be put in their place; students are treated awfully.

Amherst is a very small and safe school, so we do not need to have police there frequently. However, the doors are locked for the safety of the students, and students are rarely left unattended.
Well located property in the Amherst School district. Gravel roads on two side of property. All fenced with 5 wire barbwire. Electric runs along property. Development Potential. Property has been hayed the last few years.
