Amherst is a wonderful school with lots of friendly faces and lots of activities. With being a small school, we encourage your participation in as many clubs or groups as you want. I personally love how we do this. It allows me to be in band and choir without effecting any of my normal classes, as well as numerous different clubs and sports.

The best part of Amherst High School is how friendly all of the students and teachers are. You also learn a lot, and the teachers teach the classes fun. The worst part though is the cafeteria food. There isn't a lot of selection and the food doesn't taste the greatest.

It's a really great place to go to school. It is filled with nice students and teachers and the athletic and music programs are great.

I was depressed and had recently transferred. The way the teachers treated me through that difficult time was appalling. I was scared to walk through the building and terrified to enter class. The kids would constantly mock Asian people and nothing was done about it.
