I have seen a growth in Boyd County High School over the past two years as we got a new principal. The past principal was great about keeping students happy and having a positive environment in a fun mental health way however many students academics were suffering due to the focus on having fun instead of getting prepared for college. The new principal is doing his best to maintain a balance between student life and mental health but also putting enough focus on our academics and college readiness.

While I liked a lot of things about Boyd County High School there where also a few things that I did not like. I liked being involved in activities offered by the school and I believe that most teachers did a very good job. I like the offering of a Vocational School so that we could complete High School with Career Pathway as well. I did not like the way that some issues were handled or the lack of handling issues. Overall I would say that Boyd County is a fine High School.
