Athens High is a very small school. Everyone knows everything about everybody. There are no secrets. Our school is lacking in authority from the administration. We have had some bad issues happen where there were no consequences for the students. How will they learn if they don't get punished for their actions? We also have very poor teachers who think teaching is putting a slideshow on and reading it to us. This is their way of 'teaching". One good thing about my school is the sense of community. Everyone is friends and willing to help each other whenever someone needs it. All the girls in my class are very good friends. This makes me happy because we are all just taking in growing up together all throughout the school years. I am grateful for my school in many ways but it is not perfect.

My overall experience here was subpar. This school does not prepare you for college at all. Most students are very involved in various activities including myself. I accomplished a lot in my years there but I was not challenged enough. Teachers are mostly there just to collect a paycheck or are more about themselves than the teaching the students. There is so many more problems at this school that the list is too long to keep track.

My overall experience was good because of my involvement in various activities. It still wasn't the best because of certian teachers, and most people paying more attention to sports teams (teams that didn't do as well as others).

Athens is a great place to be. I came here a few years ago and the community is so welcoming. The School District of Athens seems to be very innovative and creative. When I came here a few years ago, it seemed like Athens was the only rural School District around that was advocating for one-to-one d...

Rate this school it is low on the totem pole. I wouldn't send my dead dog here if it was the last school around. Staffing is poor coaching is poor and privacy is poor in school. Never again will I support this school and the decisions it wants to make. The can't keep track of the students they have...

Quality small town school district. Teachers and staff are caring and well qualified. Parents are friendly and care about their childrens education. Athens community has come together to pass a referendum a few years ago to help financially. Athens has been doing very well in a number of sports the...
