Norwood is a excellent school. However it is over crowded. I dont think elementary kids should be mixed with the middle school population. I ALSO THINK THAT THE SCHOOL SHOULD HAVE MORE FIELD TRIPS FOR ALL GRADES & HAVE PARENTS VOLUNTEER ON TRIPS. AS FAR AS 5TH GRADE, IM HOPING THIS YEAR AND FORWARD THAT THEY HAVE A BETTER CEREMONY, WHAT HAPPENED TO CAKE AND PUNCH AFTER 5TH GRADE GRADUATIONS & DRESSING UP FOR GRADUATION, ETC, PARENTS WANT MEMORIES NOT BORING ONES! BALTIMORE CITY SCHOOLS HAS BETTER CERMONIES THAN THE COUNTY, IM SADNED THAT BALTIMORE COUNTY DOESNT DO THIS FOR THEIR STUDENTS, THEY DONT EVEN HAVE KINDERGARTEN GRADUATIONS. SORRY FOR THE LONG SPEACH.. NORWOOD IS A GREAT SCHOOL, I JUST THINK THE KIDS DESERVE TO GO ON FIELD TRIPS ETC.

Norwood Elementary is a hidden gem. The teachers and staff are excellent and dedicated to the students. Principal Mark Taylor and assistant principal Michael Ruppenkamp are doing a great job. The teachers and staff at Norwood are amazing. They truly love their students, there are plenty of before and after school club as well as family nights and activities. We moved to Dundalk the year before they moved fourth and fifth grade to holabird. Honestly we never had any issues with it.... Iss...
