GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I've only been in Pikesville High since junior year, and of course it's had it's moments, but overall, my experience at Pikesville has been enjoyable. A large percentage of the teachers and staff are kind and open to any questions and the education isn't too challenging but keeps me on my toes nonetheless.

Pikesville High School has been through many ups and downs through my time at the school. Overall there have been definitely more bad then good though. The current administration doesn't listen to students ideas about bettering the school nor is there a positive outreach in which kids can utilize school resources. Many teachers left the school because of its staff leaving PHS understaffed. The school itself constantly smells of drugs. There is little to no school spirit. Our academics are not challenging even the AP classes. The teachers themselves are good as well as our sports. Thats about it.

My grandson attends Pikesville High School and he has raised his grades significantly compared to the high school he was attending. He seems happier and finishes all of his home work. He has had the opportunity to stay late and get extra help from teachers. His counselor had been very responsive to...

While my child earned the right to be in the AVID program, after deciding to remain virtual, was essentially put out of the AVID program because of being virtual. Fact: I wasn't upset with the fact that my child was removed, as I attempted to withdraw him from the program back in 2019 because I've s...

It's been a growing experience. The school got a renovation a few years ago and the curriculum increased to get kids prepared for college. I'm very happy with my child's progress so far.

I expected this school to be much better that it is. We, as tax payers supported a $50 million dollar renovation but it was simply putting paint on old problems. I am so disgusted with some of the staff at Pikesville high. Its not all of the staff but some are subpar and bullylike
