Over the past four years of attending Barrington High School I have had many ups and downs. I've struggled with my mental health and also academics during my time at Barrington. I mainly struggled with having undiagnosed ADHD for the majority of my time so many people thought I was lazy and didn't want to apply myself so I worked with the school and my family to obtain a 504 plan to help me. Even after getting on my 504 plan it still semmed like most of my teachers disregarded it and treated me like every other student. A few of my teachers actually followed my 504 plan and I started doing better in my classes. I would like to see more teachers actually working with students who have accomidations so they can succeed in their classes and hopefully want to do better in their classes. Mainly giving the students the opportunity to connect with their teachers and feel supported by them to know that they can come to their teachers when they are struggling.

Barrington offers so many unique courses. Some courses that are being implemented in other schools actuallh started at Barrington, such as the mobile app development class. Throughout my experience at Barrington, there have been multiple teachers that have had a tremendous impact on my growth.

Barrington High School is fairly nice. Facilities could use some upgrading, but in terms of academics, there are many course options and the teachers are always willing to help their students succeed.

My two daughters are finishing up their sophomore year at Barrington High School. Our decision to move to town a few years ago was partially based on hearing how great the school district was. Our experience here has been far inferior to what we had expected. My kids come home from school routinely...

I actually attended this school decades ago and have returned to the town have my two children attend. Each child had very different academic and athletic journeys (meaning: one is a high performing academic and the other is a high performing athlete). Each teacher we have met over the years has bee...

My kids have ADHD and other similar disabilities and the school district did an excellent job balancing their special needs as well as supporting one in gifted education. Both scored vv high test scores ACT and SAT and had full rides in college. What else could a parent ask for?
