this school is generally ok. we have an amazing fine arts program and we regularly collaborate with bell high school (where all bjh kids feed into), but unfortunately ive encountered a lot of my teachers during my time here that either didn't do a good job teaching or could've done better. the administrators are also notoriously snooty and a lot of a students don't like them; they're particularly very strict about cell phone usage which is strange because once you get to bell there really isn't any restrictions on cell phones outside of the classroom. there also isn't a whole lot of willingness or effort to help shape the morals and ethics of the students, just as long as they get their class work done. our sports are good from my memory and the pta is omnipresent throughout all our after school functions. admittedly im much more kinder to bjh because our theatre department is one of the best in our area, although admittedly we get overshadowed by band and choir (kinda like bell lol).

Over all, this is a pretty good school. Nice athletics department and decent communication from teachers. Most of the teachers are nice and care about their students’ learning. Might as well write your kids off if they aren't in the sports program. The school doesn't care if your kids are bullied unless your child stands up for themselves. Horrible admin and staff, all they care about is the test and how good they can do on it.
