The four years I attended Marshall County High school I personally saw a rapid decline in the academic area of our school. Most of the time we were focused on extracurriculars and sports rather than our tests schools. When My junior year, I remember hearing that our state test score were so bad that the state was going to have to come in and create the curriculum instead of our teachers. This was an eye opener for both the students and staff. Not only were our tests scores bad, we also had an extremely low attendance rate so they started giving us 'prizes' and assembles so we would show up to school. In my opinion, that is pitiful. Marshall County is mostly known for the sports and drama. I don't mean theater drama, I am student/parent drama. There is constantly drama going on between students, like most high schools, but unfortunately marshal county parents are known for getting involved. Not only was drama a huge deal, but the way the school system dealt with these situations.

My favorite part of Marshall County High School is the opportunities it provides me. My least favorite thing is the lack of diversity, and how when there is diversity we bully them away. I would like to see my school change their choice of act. What I mean by that is, they chose to fight over little things like someone wearing a hat in the hallway when there are obviously bigger issues.

During my attendance at Marshall county high school I saw teachers and coaches pick favorites to curtain students that had last names of people that were high up in the school district or had quite a bit of money and those same student would also often get out of trouble or receive special treatment when it came to school work and activities. Marshall county advertises diversity and inclusion of all types but the reality within the school is not at all what it advertises when it comes to student help or involvement.

To the lady that told my daughter, she would work at a restaurant for the rest of her life because she struggles at the age of 18 to pay for her Rent, work and school. You don’t deserve your job, it is not your job to insult or belittle anyone let alone a student. Oh! FYI she makes more at her job t...

Didn't not help when I was being bullied. They did not discipline the other student. And one teacher would bully me and and my friends.
