Great school and taught me a lot to prepare for college. Some teachers are really wonderful and care a lot and some do not.

Watauga High School is a great high school in Watauga County. It has high-quality facilities, a wide variety of classes offered, and plenty of sport and club extracurriculars. Administration is struggling a little right now, and the counselors are not the best at preparing students for college. Overall a high quality high school.

Watauga is a relatively small high school. Although there are a few downsides of being in such a small population, I loved the atmosphere. The teachers are also amazing, at least in honors and AP classes which are the ones I took.

Poor educational continuity. Scheduling is a nightmare. Limited advanced classes and I'm really not sure if WHS can or tries to prep students for any kind of a challenging college experience.
