Bowie High School has a very mixed diversity, however the majority is black or african american people. As long as you stay in the right crowds and hang around the right people you will usually be ok. However, this year and the last there has been an uproar of violence and criminality.

Bowie High is a good school, it's just shunned all the time because of it's students. The school overall is great academic wise. Most teachers are really great to along with, Admin does it's job, and the Principal does a really great job in the saftey of our students. The food isn't great, I think our meal plan should be changed.

Bowie isn't a bad school but it does need a lot of renovations when it comes to the bathrooms, classrooms and even the halls. One thing I liked was how easy it was to make friends depending on the things you like and electives you choose, you can make a good amount of friends with the same likes as you.

There are so many disturbing things to cite about this school, starting with the incredulous population of 2600+ kids. That’s over 600 students per grade level, and there’s simply not enough space or resources to support a community of this size. In the highest tax paying city in the county, this sc...

If you love your kids, you wouldn't send them to this school. You can't walk up to the school without walking through clouds of weed smoke. If you want your kids to succeed, find another place.

My child is a current student here and the experience has been great. The teachers, administrators, coaches, and resource officers are all supportive. My child is in the homeland security/criminal justice program and is planning to take college courses at Bowie State University through the dual enro...
