I am currently a senior at this school and I will graduate in 2024. I feel that this school cares more about the athletics and "popular kids" than anything else. My teachers have made me feel like I don't belong and it's a struggle to get resources. The only good thing we have going for us is the music program. They work their butts off and never get any recognition. Teachers only care about athletes and they care about nothing else. Every time I walk through the doors of this school I want to cry because of how unfair of treatment I get.

There are quite a few bullies and the staff does not do much about them. The teachers are all pretty great though.

I don't enjoy my time at Northview. The food is awful on most days and when it isn't it's below average at best. The school isn't very diverse, but the school isn't at fault for that. They have one class for college readiness, but it doesn't really prepare you for college, it's mostly busywork. Ever since COVID happened the clubs have been canceled and have yet to return. The school is overall safe, but there are a couple of fights every year. Other than some of the sports players, most of the students don't have school pride. The administration is all too ready to just hand out punishment without listening to a student's argument. There is also a zero-tolerance policy so if you have an infraction you receive the same punishment no matter your reasoning or the severity. The students are nice enough, but if you're anything other than straight, white, and Christian you'll most likely be ridiculed. The teachers are okay, but I've seen instances of write ups because they dislike you.

Good school. Lacks some necessary one on one attention that some students may need but other than that, pretty great. Offers many opportunities for students and classes for those who are willing to go the extra mile.
