Though I attended a public grade school before Mater Dei and didn't know anyone there, I welcomed in by the most caring and kind students and teachers. It was scary to be " the new kid", but going to Mater Dei was the smartest decision I've ever made.

Mater Dei Catholic High School has a great academic program. It has a welcoming community and caring faculty members. Overall a great school.

Mater Dei Catholic High School is a very nice, private Catholic High School where students have no problem fitting in and feeling safe. The student body gets along very well, but the teaching faculty could be improved.

I have two sons, one who graduated and one who is currently attending Mater Dei. My oldest had a very positive experience during his four years. The curriculum is challenging, and the students are very bright. If memory serves me, there were 14 valedictorians, with 12 of them being Illinois scholars...

The math and science departments are top-notch, even though not a lot of AP credit is offered. The truth is that AP credit often does not transfer, but a sound education will allow your child to advance quickly thorough university programs.
